"Golden" Rice Flan Pudding

Ingredients:
Rice (non-sticky)
Eggs (yolks)
Sugar (white, granulated)
Milk (condensed)
Caramelized sugar (brown)
Spices (nutmeg, cinnamon & allspice)
Dried nuts & fruit (white cranraisins, walnut bits and almond slivers)
Instructions:
1. Parboil rice
2. Finish off cooking flan of egg yolk, sugar and milk in a double boiler
3. Mix in dried & nut mix in a pan with flan mix and cook in a pan submersed partially in water within an oven (175 deg C) with a coating of brown sugar to caramelize
4. Gingerly remove the pan's shell and place side down and present on a plate
5. Optional: decorate with cool whip, slivers of almonds and marascchino cherry halves
Serving Instructions:
Take each piece side up with the golden coating of caramel and place 1 or 2 red cherry preserves and serve with whipped cream on a serving saucer.
